Terms & Booking Policy
These terms cover how we book appointments, take deposits, handle cancellations and touch-ups, sell hair, and run training courses. They apply to services and products provided by Best Hair Extensions LLC d/b/a “Andromeda Beauty,” in Brooklyn, New York.
1.Agreement
By requesting an appointment, booking a service, buying a product, or enrolling in a course, you agree to these terms. We will also confirm the practical details with you directly — the service, the price, and the time. Where something we agree with you in writing differs from these terms, the written agreement for that booking controls.
Our handling of your personal information is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
2.Consultations and quotes
Consultations are free and carry no obligation. Any price we quote before seeing your hair in person is an estimate: the final price depends on how much hair is needed, its length and density, the method chosen, and the work involved. We will confirm the final price with you before starting, and we will not begin work you have not agreed to.
Prices shown on our website or social media are starting prices and can change. The price we confirm at your appointment is the one that applies.
3.Booking and deposits
- Extension appointments take several hours and hold a stylist's day, and the hair is often ordered or matched for you specifically. For those appointments we normally take a deposit.
- We tell you the deposit amount when you book. It is applied to the price of your service — it is not an extra charge.
- Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received, unless we tell you otherwise.
- Where hair is ordered or custom-matched specifically for you, the part of the deposit covering that hair is non-refundable once the hair has been ordered or prepared.
- If we have to cancel or move your appointment, your deposit is fully refundable, or you can move it to a new date — your choice.
4.Cancellation and rescheduling
Please give us as much notice as you can. Because these are long appointments, a late cancellation usually means the time cannot be filled.
| When you tell us | What happens |
|---|---|
| 48 hours or more before the appointment | Cancel or reschedule at no charge. Your deposit moves to the new date or is refunded, apart from any hair already ordered or prepared specifically for you. |
| Less than 48 hours before | We keep the deposit as compensation for the reserved time. You are welcome to book a new appointment with a new deposit. |
| No-show — you do not arrive and do not contact us | The deposit is kept. After a repeat no-show we may ask for the service to be prepaid in full before booking again. |
Illness, emergencies, and genuinely unavoidable situations happen — tell us as soon as you can and we will do our best to be reasonable. To cancel or reschedule, call or text +1 929 551 5170, or message us on WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook. Please do not rely on a reply to a reminder message alone — make sure we have confirmed the change.
5.Late arrival
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to complete the full service in the time remaining. We will do as much as we safely can, or offer to reschedule. If the service cannot be done at all and cannot be rebooked that day, we treat it as a late cancellation under section 4.
6.Health, allergies, and hair condition
- Please tell us before your appointment about allergies or sensitivities, scalp conditions, hair loss, recent chemical treatments, medications, or pregnancy, and about any previous reaction to hair products or adhesives.
- A patch test is available on request, and we may require one before certain services.
- We are hair professionals, not medical providers. Nothing we say is medical advice. If you have a scalp or health condition, please speak to a doctor.
- We may decline or stop a service if we believe your hair or scalp condition makes it unsafe or unlikely to give a good result. If we do, we will explain why and, where the service has not started, return your deposit.
- Extensions add weight and require care. Even when correctly installed, they are not suitable for every hair type or lifestyle, and we will tell you honestly at the consultation if we think a method is wrong for you.
7.Results, aftercare, and touch-ups
- We will give you aftercare instructions — how to wash, brush, sleep, and which products to avoid. Following them is essential: most problems with extensions come from aftercare, not installation.
- Complimentary check-up. If a bond, weft, or tape loosens because of how it was installed, contact us within 14 days of your appointment and we will adjust it at no charge.
- The complimentary adjustment does not cover normal wear, natural hair shedding and regrowth, damage from heat or unsuitable products, matting from missed brushing, swimming or salt water, work done or altered by someone else, or hair you supplied yourself.
- Maintenance is expected. Extensions need periodic move-ups and eventually removal and replacement. Those are separate, chargeable appointments, and we will tell you the expected interval for your method.
- Hair is a natural material. Color, texture, and how a specific batch wears can vary slightly, and hair that has been colored or heat-styled after installation may behave differently. We match as closely as we can, but exact matching cannot be guaranteed.
- If you are unhappy with a result, tell us within 7 days and come in so we can look at it. We would much rather correct our work than leave you dissatisfied.
8.Hair products: sales and returns
- Hair is a hygiene-sensitive product. Once it has been opened, cut, colored, installed, or worn, it cannot be returned or exchanged, and it is sold as a final sale.
- Unopened hair in its original, undamaged packaging may be returned or exchanged within 7 days of purchase with proof of purchase.
- Colors on a screen never match perfectly, and natural hair varies between batches. We are happy to match against your own hair in person, or to send photos in daylight before you buy.
- Defects: if hair is defective, contact us within 7 days of receiving it, before it is installed or altered, and we will replace it or refund it.
- We ship within the United States only. We do not ship hair products internationally, and we cannot accept orders for delivery outside the United States.
- Shipped orders travel at our stated shipping terms; risk passes on delivery. Tell us about damage in transit within 48 hours of delivery, with photos.
9.Wholesale orders
Wholesale pricing is for salons and professionals and is quoted individually. Wholesale orders are prepaid, are prepared to your specification, and are not returnable except for defects. Additional terms may be agreed in writing for a specific order, and those terms control for that order.
10.Training courses
- A seat is reserved once payment or the agreed deposit is received. Places are limited, and materials are prepared per student.
- Cancelling a course: full refund if you cancel 14 days or more before the start date; 50% if you cancel 7–13 days before; no refund within 7 days of the start date or after course materials or kits have been issued.
- You may move to a later course once at no charge with at least 7 days notice, subject to availability.
- If we cancel or postpone a course, you can choose a full refund or a place on the next course.
- A certificate is awarded on completion of the course and its practical work. A certificate is a record of training completed — it is not a state license, and we do not guarantee employment, clients, or income.
- Course content, materials, manuals, and recordings are our intellectual property, provided for your personal professional use. Please do not copy, resell, record, or teach them as your own course.
- Models for practical work are arranged as described for each course; where you bring your own model, they must be informed and consent to training work being performed.
11.Payment, tax, and gratuity
We accept the payment methods shown at the salon. Prices are exclusive of sales tax where tax applies, and tax is added at the applicable rate. Gratuity is never required and always appreciated. Full card numbers should never be sent to us by message — card payments are handled at the salon or through a payment provider.
12.Minors
Clients under 18 need a parent or legal guardian to consent to the service, and the guardian may be asked to be present. We do not enroll students under 18 in professional training courses.
13.Photos and media
We often photograph our work. We ask your permission before using an identifiable photo or video of you in our marketing, and you can decline or change your mind later — see section 15 of the Privacy Policy. We may take non-identifiable photos of the hair itself for our own records of the work performed.
14.Conduct and right to refuse service
We want the salon to be a calm, safe place for clients and staff. We may decline or end a service in cases of abusive behavior, intoxication, an untreated contagious condition, or unsafe conduct, and in that case the service is treated as a late cancellation. We serve everyone regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or disability, in line with New York City and New York State law.
15.Website content and use
The text, photographs, videos, design, and course materials on this website belong to us or to our licensors. You may view and share our pages, but please do not copy our photos or text for your own commercial use, scrape the site, or use our name and images in a way that suggests we endorse you. Before-and-after photographs show real client results; results vary from person to person.
16.Limits on our liability
We stand behind our workmanship, and section 7 explains how we correct it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a service, product, or course is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under New York consumer protection law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
17.Resolving problems and governing law
If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most issues are solved quickly and at no cost to you. Tell us within 30 days so we can see the hair while the situation can still be assessed.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we cannot resolve between us will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York, and we each consent to those courts.
18.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here on the day you book is the one that applies to that booking, and we will not change the terms of a booking after you have made it.
